Somerset's Conservative Councillors joined the Stop the Family Farm Tax protest in London on 19th November to show their support for local family farms. After meeting with Conservative MP's to discuss the joint opposition to the ill-thought family farm tax announced by the Labour government, Councillors Osborne, Power, Purbrick and Trimnell joined the crowds in Whitehall to show their opposition to the tax and listen to various farmers and political figures explain the impact this short sighted policy will have on family farms, food security and rural communities.
